Faheem Majeed 

Majeed received his BFA from Howard University in 2000 and his MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2009. He served as Executive Director and Curator for the South Side Community Art Center (2005-2011). He is a faculty member at School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Chicago State. Majeed creates works focusing on institutional critique and leveraging collaboration to engage his community in dialogue.  Artist Website >>

Cathy Alva Mooses

Mooses received her BFA from the Cooper Union School of Art in 2005 and is a Yale University 2014 MFA candidate. From 2004-2009, Mooses facilitated annual community art projects in Latin America. This year she renovated a small Pilsen storefront to host the art series Proximal Distance, exploring the intersection of physical and psychological distance as well the effect of technology on those perceptions.  Artist Website >>

Eliza Myrie                          

Myrie received her MFA from Northwestern University in 2010 and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Myrie experiments with multiple forms of popular media, focusing on class, politics, and ethnicity. She manipulates images through video, sculpture, and drawing to create new narratives. Her most recent exhibition was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago (2012).  Artist website >>
